As it turns out I didn't move in with my mum, but am in the process of moving in with a friend of mine. Almost finished moving, too! Probably would've been done already if I'd had a little bit more help and a slightly larger truck, but I'm not going to complain. I freakin' love not being in a god awful apartment complex in a piss poor side of town. Seriously.

Really, it's just nice being able to go outside without being worried about, I dunno, getting mugged and/or having my truck broken into (for the 4th time). Third time was definitely the charm.

Of note, I am grossly behind in artwork. Behind to the point that it's pathetic. The past several months have pretty much been absolute chaos. I'm hoping things chill out soon because your's truly can't withstand much more.

But back to the topic of artwork -- should have ALL outstanding EVERYTHING done this month. That is the goal. And if it doesn't happen, I'm fucked, because I'll be at anime!FEST in September.

Typically I reserve this sort of thing for conventions only, but this coming year I may or may not be participating in the artist alley(s) at all due to school coming up this next fall. Nope. Not accounts, just homes. Hopefully one with about 5 bedrooms so my mother an I can each have an art room/office and mine can be OFF LIMITS to any house guests that may come by. That is my dream. That or the awesome condo. Shall be touring both this weekend, and maybe end up with an awesome place to live where my car won't be CONSTANTLY BROKEN IN TO.

I can dream.

In other news, am struggling to get going with artwork. I was doing really good up until I managed to get sick in January and just didn't get better until maybe a week or two ago.

I shall be attending my two regular local conventions, but alas, no Otakon for me this year. At first I couldn't afford the airfare, then I got offered airfare, but already requested time off not-including the days needed for that con. To avoid confusion, the toll moving is already going to take on my pocketbook, and to keep from looking like a complete slacker at work, I think it's just safe to say, I'm not going.

Which means I might just have to visit my friends in NYC sometime later on in the year.

That's about it. Not much else to say.

P.S. I am for real working on my oustanding commissions, and with a vengeance so that I won't have that hanging over my head when I go to the convention. Plus, I need to finish a new display and (hopefully) some jewelry to sell as well.
